Due to their length and width dimensions and multiple connection points, Isotrack mats can be installed to configure roadways, work pads and turning areas as required for the project in hand.
Heavy steel-tracked equipment can be used on Isotrack H and Isotrack X mats. Both types of mats have a low-profile surface design to minimise the damage that can result from using steel tracks. As with all types of plastic or composite mats, careful use with steel-tracked equipment is recommended to ensure their longevity.
The Isotrack series of mats have Isotraction® surface design on one surface. Independent testing under dry and wet/muddy conditions has shown that Isotraction provides better surface traction for vehicles with tyres compared to other temporary roadway mats.
The Isotrack series of mats have two different surface designs. The Isotraction® surface design provides excellent surface traction for vehicles and equipment, although it is also suitable for workers as a walking surface. The steel track surface has a lower profile than the Isotraction® surface and may be preferred where high pedestrian traffic is expected. The Isotrack L mat is ideal for pedestrian walkways, especially where minimal light traffic use is expected.
The mats reduce the contact pressure of passing vehicles and equipment and help prevent rutting that not only damages the ground but can also result in vehicles getting bogged down. Without Isotrack mats vehicles can get bogged down resulting in down time (and increased costs) for your project.
This depends on the equipment to be used as well as the bearing capacity of the underlying ground. Isotrack L mats are ideal for lighter vehicles and pedestrians on firmer ground. Isotrack H mats are needed for heavy equipment on softer ground. Isotrack X is the mat to use when heavy vehicles and equipment are to be used on soft / wet / boggy ground. Currently, Isotrack H mats can be supplied with RFID tags. Isotrack X mats can be supplied with RFID or GPS tags.
